Yahoo's choice of Google Inc.'s Marissa Mayer as its new CEO wasn't the only surprise?Monday; Mayer is also pregnant with her first child, which is due in October.
Mayer publicly announced the news on Twitter not long after Yahoo revealed that she would be taking the helm at the struggling Internet company.
"Another piece of good news today - @zackbogue and I are expecting a new baby boy!," Mayer tweeted late Monday.
She broke the news in an interview with Fortune, which said?she is having a boy.?She said that she would work through her three-week maternity leave.
"He's super-active,"?Fortune?said Mayer said in a phone interview.?"He moves around a lot. My doctor says that he takes after his parents."
