David Banks started his remodeling business out of his home garage in 2004, as a ?side business.? He was good at it, so it grew. Eventually it grew so much, mostly by word of mouth of satisfied customers, that it became a full-time enterprise with deep family connections.
?

That?s how quality work became Quality Construction Co., which officially opened its new, state-of-art showroom in a new home improvement ?mall? in Nicholasville, behind Kohl?s and Sam?s Club on Means Drive.
?

The 6,000-square-foot showroom brings a new concept for remodeling and construction to Central Kentucky. It?s a one-stop shop for all aspects of residential contracting, as Banks has partnered with seven other Lexington-area businesses to create the showplace.
?

Growing up in Harlan County with an ex-military father and a nurse-mom, Banks has not strayed from the hard-work ethic he learned early on. Or from devotion to family. His two younger brothers are also engaged in the business ? and he speaks of his employees as family, too.
?

Overshadowing the opening of the new showroom ? at least in the eyes of a proud dad ? is the launch of an enterprise by yet another Banks family member. Six-year-old daughter Ashton has added value to the showplace with a new vending machine enterprise.
?

Thanks to a gift from Dad, a three-compartment stand-alone vending machine (for gum, candy and other 25-cent temptations, Ashton, youngest of Banks? three children, is eagerly ready to start building her own conglomerate.
?

?She saves her money and is already building her college savings account,? Banks said with a smile. ?I?ll help her set up her accounting system so she can track her expenses and profits. She can?t wait to get started.?
?

And so the work ethic is passed to the next generation.
?

Banks is not only a proud dad, he is a hands-on boss, who takes special interest in every job ? and every employee. He has also built a network of ?partners? whose work is featured in the new showroom.
?

Quality Construction specializes in remodeling projects, building projects large and small throughout Central Kentucky, including kitchen and bath, custom carpentry, concrete, paint and tile. They also do new construction and additions.
?
